Gas 4 heads are prone to cracking in the corners. Here's one found this week. It's immediately dangerous and becomes a fire risk. Cooking oil leaks through the cracked weld then gets ignited by the burner flames.

To prevent this always make sure your oil is above minimum line and gas pressures adjusted correctly. It could still occur if there was a flaw in the original weld and this cannot be avoided. This machine is now unsafe to use, it's been disconnected and warning notices applied.
